Happy Monday everyone!! Today is my first post for The Daily Marker's 30 Day Color Challenge. I think it's really sad that people have forgotten how to send a general "note card". Just something simple with a short note inside to let someone else know you are thinking of them, want to thank them for something or, just to say hello! For this first week (maybe the 2nd too) of the challenge , I am working on some 4" square note cards. All simple but colorful! And a perfect size to attach to a bottle of vino for a friend, a bag lunch for one of your kids, a little note card to leave in a dresser drawer for someone special to find....who knows!!
For my first card I wanted to "Keep It Simple" so I started with a piece of white cardstock, 4" x 8", scored at 4", and folded in half. This gives me my 4" square card. Then I cut a another piece of white cardstock, 3.75" x 3.75", and stamped the image and one of the phrases from the "Keep It Simple" set by Unity Stamp Co., using Versamark ink and Black Sparkle embossing powder by Ranger. Then I colored in the image using some fun and bright Tombow markers.
I wanted some height to the card front but did not want to use pop dots. So I cut a piece of black fun foam, 3.75" square, to which I adhered a piece of black cardstock, 3 7/8" square, to which I adhered the colored image to. Then adhere all 3 layers to the card front and you are DONE!!
I hope you enjoyed Note Card 1! Remember to leave a comment to be entered into the contest and I hope to see you back here tomorrow!! Have a fantastic day and pass this contest on to everyone you know!
Until next time -
Hugs from Brasil!!
Michael
