SIP Challenge #64 - CAS - You've Captured My Heart

Hello everyone!!  I hope all of my American readers had a great Labor Day Weekend!!  I never liked this weekend because I knew summer was ending, it would start to get darker earlier, and the sweaters would soon be coming out of the closet for the cold weather that would be coming.  Now it's the opposite for me.  Labor Day Weekend signals the start of hot weather and summer coming here.  YAY!

Today is Tuesday and that means a new challenge over at the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge Blog.  This week is Challenge #64 - Clean and Simple or Less Is More!! The guest designer is Jennifer Rohrer Timko.  She is the Queen of Clean and Simple and you check out more of her work on her blog by clicking on her name.

I started with a top folding A2 card base of red textured cardstock.  Then I cut a piece of white cardstock, 4" x 5.25", and cut and embossed the Heart Of Hearts die by Impression Obsession, and then I adhered it to the card front.  I love how the textured red paper shows through the hearts.

Next I stamped, fussy cut the camera from Captured My Heart by Unity Stamp Co.  I colored it in with various Tombow markers and a silver gel pen.  Then I put some pop dots behind the camera and placed it on the heart and stamped the sentiment, from the same set, next to the camera. The last thing was to cut another piece of white cardstock, 4" x 5.25", and adhere it to the inside to be written on.

Now...you could just stop here and have a great CAS "Less Is More" card.

Or, you can add a few red sequins to the card front to give it some shimmer.

Done!!  Let me know which card you like better - with or without the sequins.  I am partial to the card with the sequins.  I hope you can find some time to make a card for this challenge too.  You have until 8pm on Sunday, September 11th to enter a card.  Just click HERE to be taken right to the challenge.  Until next time -

Hugs from Brasil -

Michael

  3. Hi Michael,
I love the one with the sequins the best as I think every card however simple needs a bit of bling.
