Stamp Ink Paper Black & White Challenge or Every Day Is An Oreo Day!

Hello everyone!!  I had so much fun at the Mega Artesenal. The show was huge and I walked a lot of it with my friend Carla.  It was great to meet some Facebook friends in person, watch demos, and buy new things (like stencils).  I'll have some photos during the week.  Today I am here for the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #57 - Black & White Challenge -

As soon as I saw that it was a Black & White theme, I immediately thought of Oreo cookies.  Yes, I admit it, I have a problem with Oreos - mainly Double Stuffs. I LOVE them. Oreos did not exist here until about 2 years ago.  Now we have the original vanilla and original chocolate flavors and I am patiently waiting for the day that we get Double Stuffs!!

One time I even did a StenDoodleTM of the Oreo logo, which you can check out HERE.

This is such an easy card to make since all you really need is black and white cardstock, black ink, and some Oreo rubber stamps from Viva Las Vegas stamps and Blueprints 1 from My Favorite Things.

I started with a top folding A2 black cardstock card base.  Then I cut and embossed a piece of white cardstock using the largest die from Blueprints 1. This gives you a piece of white cardstock 4" x 5 1/4". Then I stamped the closed Oreo cookie randomly around the piece using Onyx Black Versafine ink. Once the ink was dry I ran a Clear Wink of Stella Brush marker over the Oreos to give them a shimmer.  Then I adhered this piece to the card front.

Since I did not have the phrase "Every Day Is An Oreo Day", I created it in Word and printed it out onto white cardstock.  Then I used the smallest rectangle die from Blueprints 1 and cut the piece out. This gave me a piece of white cardstock, 2 1/8" x 3 3/8".   Then I stamped the open Oreo cookie stamp above the phrase and ran some Clear Wink of Stella Brush Marker over this Oreo too.  Then I used the other rectangle die from Blueprints 1 to cut a piece of black cardstock.  I adhered the piece of white to the black, put some pop dots on the back of the black cardstock and adhered it to the front of the card.

The last thing I did, since the inside is also black cardstock, was to cut a piece of white cardstock with the largest rectangle die from Blueprints 1.

Done!!  Now all I need to do is give it to someone else that loves Oreos as much as I do. Hope you can find some time to make a project for the Stamp Ink Paper Black & White Challenge too!!

Until next time -

Michael
