Quick, Colorful, Tropical, Coffee Cards | KCS Designs by Kim DT Project

Hey all.  Just popping in here to share with you 2 quick, colorful, and tropical coffee-themed cards.  I also wanted to share with you the news that the 2026 Spring Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is happening over on Coffee Loving Papercrafters

This is an industry hop, and you don't need to make a card to win any prizes.  Each stop along the hop is offering a chance to win something.  Follow the directions at each stop to have a chance to win.  There are over $400 in prizes.  Good luck to everyone.

Here's a video on my YouTube Channel - World of Michael Trent - showing you how I made the cards.

And, if you are more of a blog person, here is a step-by-step for you with photos.

To make these two cards, I used images from the digital set of 30 Vibrant Coffee Art Prints by Infinite Glance Art, and sentiments from the Word Snippets Coffee Phrases by KCS Designs by Kim - both on Etsy.

To make these cards:

  • I started by making 2 top-folding A2 cards using Kraft cardstock; then I die-cut 2 solid colors of cardstock (yellow and green) using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die; I die-cut 2 pieces of white carstock using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die, which I then emobssed using 2 embossing folders in my stash; I cut two pieces of white fun foam just shy of 4" x 5.25", and I cut 2 pieces of white cardstock, 4" x 5.25" for the inside of the card.

  • I adhered each of the solid colors to the front of each card front; I adhered the fun foam to the back of each of the embossed white pieces, and then to the card fronts; and I adhered each of the plain white pieces to the inside of each card.
  • I printed 2 of the images from 30 Vibrant Coffee Art Prints at 32%.  They will be about 2.75" x 3 3/8".  I also cut 2 pieces of white fun foam, adhered them to the back of each image, and then to the front of each card.

  • For my sentiments, I printed and cut two sentiments from the Word Snippets Coffee Phrases set.
  • I used two stitched banner dies to cut 2 pieces of Kraft cardstock, and a piece from each of the solid card fronts.
  • I layered my sentiment on the Kraft banner, then on the colored banner, and then on the font of each card.

Here are the final cards after everything was glued together.

And here are two other cards I made using two different sentiments.

I'm also entering these cards in the May "
A Perfect Time To Craft Card Challenge Blog".  Their theme is always "anything goes".  If you make a card, try to enter it in their challenge too.

And in the Four Seasons May 2026 Card Challenge Blog.  The theme this month is Spring, and the vibrant colors on these cards scream Spring!

I hope you have enjoyed these quick card ideas.  Remember to check out the blog hop and, until next time...

Hugs from Brasil.

~Michael
