The Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas | December 2025 Edition | Happy New Year Card
Hello everyone, and welcome to the December 2025 Edition of the Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas with Deb and Lisa - otherwise known as The Crafty Elves. On the 25th of each month, we (the Crafty Elves) post one or more holiday cards in hopes that we inspire you to start making your own. This way, by November, we have cards ready to mail or to give to people during the holidays.
Another year completed! Deb, Lisa, and I have been doing this for a few years now. And, being December 25th, Christmas Day, there is no need to make a Christmas card. So, I made a New Year's Card to help usher in 2026.
To make this card idea:
- I made a top-folding slimline card using white cardstock, measuring 3 5/8" x 8 5/8".
- Using a stitched rectangle slimline die, I di-cut a piece of glittered white cardstock, which I adhered to my card front.
- I cut a piece of white cardstock, 2 7/8" x 7 5/8" and, using a spatula, applied Translucent Embossing Paste from Dreamweaver through the Winter Scattered Flakes stencil from Memory Box (long retired). Then I set it aside to fully dry.
- Once fully dry, I adhered it to a piece of black cardstock. Then I adhered a piece of fun foam to the back, and then to the card front.
- Using the numbers 2, 0, and 6 from the Outlines Letter Alphabet Die set from Creek Bank Creations, I die-cut each number 7 times - 6 from white cardstock, and once from the glittered white cardstock. I adhered the 6 pieces of each number together, and then the glittered white number on the top. Then I adhered them to the card front.
- Lastly, I die-cut the Happy New Year die from Elizabeth Craft (retired) and adhered it to the card front on top of the numbers.
I hope you have enjoyed this card idea. Wishing everyone who celebrates a very Merry Christmas! Don't forget to visit the other Crafty Elves and see what they made. All our social media links are below.
