Yes It's A Holiday | National Coffee Day | Stack of Coffee Cups
Hello everyone, and welcome to a new "Yes, It's a Holiday" collab with my Instagram friends Debra and Lori. Today, September 29th, we are helping to celebrate National Coffee Day, which was created by the National Coffee Association as a day to celebrate coffee in the United States. The first official National Coffee Day is believed tho have been on September 29, 2005, by the National Coffee Association (NCA), a trade organization that represents the U.S. coffee industry.
Please be aware that today's holiday is only observed in the USA and is distinct from International Coffee Day, which is celebrated on October 1st.
To help celebrate, I made a tall slimline card using a digi stamp of a stack of coffee cups from the Beyond The Fringe Crafts Blog. Carmen, who owns the blog, has a Freebie section filled with fun digi images for you to download.
- I made a top-folding slimline card using Kraft cardstock.
- To make the background, I placed a coffee bean stencil on top and brushed on Coffee Archival ink.
- I printed the image of the stack of coffee cups, die-cut it using a stitched rectangle die, layered it on a piece of fun foam, and then adhered it to the card front.
- I made my sentiment on the computer, printed it, layered it on a piece of Kraft cardstock, and adhered it to my card front.
- Lastly, I added some crystals and stickles on some of the cups.
