I "Wheelie" Like You - "Punny" Card with Viva Las Vegas Stamps

Hello everyone.  Getting started late today.  Yesterday was just a crazy busy day - but fun.  First it was a doctor appointment for my little respiratory issue.  Meds have kicked in and all should be fine soon!  Then I had someone in town come by to make a signature/photo book for her daughter's "Sweet 15" party.  In Spanish it is called a Quinceañera.  In Brasil the celebration is called "festa (or baile) de debutantes" or "festa de quinze anos".  Kind of like a debutante ball.   We used some beautiful vintage/shabby chic papers by Arte Facil Artesenato, a beautiful Butterfly Gown Girl die by Gina Marie Designs, and some purple glittered fun foam.

Here's a shot of the book -

And here is a close up of the Butterfly Gown Girl die after it was cut and embossed into the fun foam. Love how this looks!

Today I have another "punny" card for the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge "punny" theme.  Again, super simple.  I used another octopus image from Viva Las Vegas Stamps called "Otto's Sweet Ride" by the amazing artist Brian Kesinger.

I started with a top folding A2 base of white cardstock.  I adhered a piece of metallic silver cardstock to the card front.  Then, because I did not have the right sentiment for the image, I typed up "I "wheelie" like you!" on the computer and printed it out onto white cardstock.  Then I stamped the image above the phrase and colored him in with Copic markers.

Then I die cut the phrase/image using the largest die from the Die-namics Pierced Rectangle STAX, adhered a piece of white fun foam to the back, then adhered it to a piece of black cardstock, 3 1/2" x 4 3/4", which I then adhered to the card front.

The last part was to apply a dab of glossy accents to each of the eyes.

Done!  Like I said, another easy card.  You can even change the phrase to say "I wheelie LOVE you!"  I hope you enjoyed this quick card. Remember to make your own "punny" card for the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge!  You have until Sunday, August 7th, at 8:00pm to enter a card! Until next time -

Hugs from Brasil -
Michael

    1. The Otto stamps ROCK!! The best time to get stamps from VLVS is during the Super Bowl. They always discount everything almost 50%. I get sheets then. Great time to stock up! Thanks for stopping by the blog today.

    1. Thanks Birgit! It wasn't until this challenge that I actually thought of a good phrase to go with the stamp. And the book is even more beautiful in person. Thanks for stopping by the blog today.
