Double Facing Waterfall Album 3rd of 7 | Dad Album | House of Mockery Papers

Image
Hello everyone!  Of all the recent albums I made, this one worried me the most.  And yet, I had the most fun making it.  This is the 3rd of 7 albums I made using my Double Facing Waterfall Album.  The  album is for my friend's dad and,  I don't know why, but I have issues making masculine albums or cards.  Not having many "masculine" papers in my stash, other than for travel, I jumped on Etsy.  My friend told me his dad liked golf, baseball, football, beer, and tools.   I found a seller on Etsy with the coolest collections -  The House of Mockery - and I ended up buying 5 collections that I knew would work perfectly in this album -  American Golf , American Baseball , Beer, Ball, and BBQ , Mr. Fix-It , and Paper Pad 11 , which had some cool photos.   Honestly, I cannot wait to make my next masculine album.   Here is a video walk-through of the album explaining what I did in the album.  You can a...

Hello everyone!  Today I am sharing the 2nd of 7 albums I made using my Double Facing Waterfall Album.  This album uses the Fetch Collection from Photoplay Paper, which is a few years old and not made anymore.  Sadly.  But they have so many amazing collections to choose from if you want to recreate it.   Below is a video walk-thru from my YouTube channel.  You can also click  HERE  to be taken to my channel and, if you are more of a photo type of person, there are lots of photos of the album below the video.   Here are photos of the book and box. I hope you love this book as much as I do.  Making an album for someone to hold their memories gives me such pleasure.  My social media pages are below if you would like to follow me and see my other work.     World of Michael Trent YouTube Channel World of Michael Trent's Instagram Page World of Michael Trent's Facebook Page Thanks so much for stopping by my...

Double-Facing Waterfall Album 1st of 7 | Let's Travel Collection | Carta Bella Paper

Image
Hello everyone!   What a crazy month and a half it's been.  There I was, cutting pieces for my new Double Facing Waterfall Album so that I could make a video tutorial for y'all - when I was commissioned to make 8 mini-albums.  For Christmas gifts.  In the USA.  Being that I am in Brasil, I would have to get them to the USA in time, and I had a lot of work ahead of me.  I basically spent most of November and part of December making each of these albums together with a box for them to be stored in.   I decided to use my new Double Facing Waterfall Album for each of the albums but I did my best to make sure that something in each of the albums was different than the others.  Each album also has a different theme to it.  This was a lot of work but so worth it and so much fun to do.   Here is the first album, which uses the Let's Travel Collection from Carta Bella.  I had a few of the collections left here and used the phy...

I started by making a slimline card base with white cardstock - 4" x 9.25".  Then I printed one of the designs from { THIS } Confetti paper collection from hksmart on Etsy , and adhered it to my card front. Next, I stamped a bunch of the larger chickens from the Party Chicks - Set of 1...

Hello everyone, and welcome to the November 2023 Edition of The Crafty Elves' Countdown to Christmas.   If this is your first time here, on the 25th of each month, I take part in a Christmas collab with some of my Crafty Elf friends - Debra of  Meticulosity  and  Lisa of  Life of a BZScrapper  - and we each post a fun Christmas or Holiday card to help inspire you to make your own.   This month we have a Guest Crafty Elf -  Amy Tsuruta of  Craftee1 .  Links to all of our cards and our social media pages are at the end of this post.  This month I decided to make a Hanukkah card since I have not made one in some time and the first night of Hanukkah is December 7th. Using a piece of white cardstock, I made a top-folding A2 card base. I put double-sided tape behind two pieces of glittered fun foam - one silver, the other dark blue.  Then I cut them into strips and adhered them to the card front alternating betw...

He Made It/She Made It | Bottle Won't Open with Technique Junkies

Image
Hello everyone!  Welcome to, not only November but also a new "He Made It/She Made It" collaboration with my friend Debra of Meticulosity  and fellow Technique Junkies Design Team Member.      The end of the year is almost here, the holidays will soon be upon us (don't ask what holidays), and we're all getting a bit stressed.  This month Debra and I decided to use the brand-new Bottle Won't Open stamp , part of the November 2023 Stamp Release  from  Technique Junkies .   I made a 5" x 7" card base to which I adhered a piece of Christmas designer paper. I embossed a piece of gold mirror cardstock using an embossing folder from here with different wine names - perfect for the sentiment. I adhered the embossed gold mirror cardstock to a piece of black fun foam, and then to the card front. I stamped  Bottle Won't Open  on white cardstock, die-cut it with a stitched square die, layered it on the same designer paper as th...
