Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas | May 2025 Edition | Hero Arts

Image
Hello everyone, and welcome to the May 2025 Edition of the Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas with  Deb  and  Lisa .  If you are new here, on the 25th of each month, we (the Crafty Elves) post one or more holiday cards in hopes that we inspire you to start  making your own so that, come November, we have cards ready to mail.   So, during the month, as I was cleaning out boxes, bags, and bins of stuff in my stash, I found this vintage stamp from Hero Arts, and I had to make these cards using it.   These 2 cards use the Snowman and Snowflakes (K5533) stamp from Hero Arts from 2011. It's so old, I can't even find a sample card made by anyone. I made 2 top-folding A2 card bases using white cardstock and adhered a piece of dark blue cardstock to the front of each one.     I cut 2 pieces of lighter blue cardstock, 3 7/8" x 5 1/4", and embossed them using the Christmas Wishes embossing folder from Crafter's Companion. ...

Coffee Card Collab with Deb | Coffee Loving Paper Crafters Coffee Hop

Image
Hey y'all.  Today, my friend Deb and I are doing a CCC, a "Coffee Card Collab", to help spread the word about the 2025 Spring Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop .  There are lots of Sponsors and prizes to be won!  Deb and I are NOT affiliated or taking part in the hop - just spreading the news.    For my card, I dug out a very old stamp set called Espress Yourself from Stampin Up. It's wood-mounted and from 2002.  Today is the first time I trimmed the images, adhered them to the wood blocks, and used them to make this slimline coffee card. WOW.  Perhaps you have stamps that you can use tif you want to make this card or one like it.     This is how I made this slimline card.   I made a top-folding slimline card base using white cardstock, 3.5" x 8.5". I printed one of the papers from the Coffee Lovers Digital Paper Pack from Graciellie Designs and adhered it to the card front.   I die-cut a piece of Kraft cardstock using a 2.5...

I Made "Rosa Kelly's Easy Hinges Mini Album - Volume 2" Blank Book | Coral Reef Mermaid Book

Image
Hello everyone.  A few weeks ago, I was checking out some videos on YouTube...SHOCKER...and Rosa Kelly's "Easy Hinges Mini Album Tutorial - Volume 2" popped up in my feed.  This is a tutorial for a BLANK book, meaning she teaches you how to make the book but decorating it and adding things to it is all up to you.     So, I made it.  Then I added a few things to it and decorated it.  This book has space for 49 photos of various sizes and the front and back pockets have space for even more.  The book measures 8.5" x 7" x 2.5".  In Rosa's video, she uses a 3.5" spine, but I wanted a smaller one.   I added the pockets and photo mats on the inside front and back covers. I added the pockets on the front of the first page, on the right and left sides of the gatefold, and I added the photo mat for a 5" x 7" photo.   On the back of Page 1, I used ephemera and magnets to make a closure for the top flap.  I added a bellyb...

Coral Reef/Mermaid "Petals" Mini Album | Your Book of Memories | Imagine the Art Design

Image
Hello everyone.  I recently posted a Shabby Chic Beach-Themed mini album on my blog and YouTube channel using the Petals Mini Album tutorial from Your Book of Memories.  The person I made this album for also asked me to make an ocean/mermaid-themed book for her friend.  I used the same Petals Mini Album, and this time, I used the Coral Reef Junk Journal Kit from Imagine the Art Design on Etsy. Since making this album, Imagine the Art Design has come out with 2 new digital collections that would work perfectly with the Coral Reef Junk Journal Kit - the Coral Reef Background Images Kit and the Ocean Beauty Junk Journal Kit.  I will probably get those soon for another album.  LOL     Links to everything I used are at the end of this post. Below is a video walk-through of the album, where I describe everything I did and what I used.  You can also find other mini-album videos on my YouTube Channel -  World of Michael Trent . Below are ...
