Hello everyone, and welcome to another Woodblock Wednesday -  the day of the week we set aside to give some love to woodblock stamps that we have not used in some time.     I am joining my friend Amy, who posts a Woodblock Wednesday card to her blog on the last Wednesday of each month.   For today's card, I used 2 woodblock stamps from my stash.  One is a white dude (ME) on a beach sipping a fully loaded alcoholic drink.  This stamp has no name and it was made by The Stamp Barn out of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.  The other is a stamp was made by Putting on the Ritz and says "Life's a Beach".  Both companies are long out of business.    I stamped the guy on the beach on white cardstock, colored the image with BIC Intensity Ultra Fine Tip markers, and die-cut it using a 3.25" x 4.5" stitched rectangle die.  I added white glue to the areas of the image where I wanted sand, sprinkled on real sand, knocked off the excess, and all...

Hey everyone.  Today, I am sharing some cards I made using these  Dandelions I found in my stash that are made by  2Crafty , an Australian chipboard company, which is still in business and you can still buy them!  Considering the state of the crafting industry, this is great news.   I bought them intending to use them on a card, but hit a brick wall and tossed them in a box.  Fast forward to 2025, and, not being a scrapbooker, I still had no idea what to do with them.   Hello everyone, and welcome to the April 2025 Edition of the Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas with  Deb  and  Lisa .  If you are new here, on the 25th of each month, we post one or more holiday cards.  This way, come November, we don't have to stress over making cards to send to people.  We hope to inspire you, and we hope you will join us.       This month I made a Christmas card using the dies from Day 3 from the 2024 Spellbinders 12 Days of Stitchmas Advent Calendar .  If you missed getting one of these Advent calendars or if you are still thinking about it, you can get one HERE .    Even though the dies in this "Stitchmas Advent" were meant to be stitched, I decided to use them in a different way and NOT stitch them - but bedazzled them.  While trying to come up with an idea for using this set of dies, the image below popped up in one of my feeds, and that is what I am using as inspiration for this card....

So, there I was, going through a box of stuff, when I pulled out a package of big letter stickers from Michael's, circa "God Only Knows".  I'm trying to clean out and use things I find in my stash, and I had to make something with these.  But what?  They are masculine,  industrial-looking letters.  Hmmm....  Got it!  A masculine, industrial-looking "Hello" card! You can make this in about 10 minutes if you have some alphabet stickers too.   First, my card base.  I made a 3.25" x 8.25" slimline card by cutting a piece of black cardstock, 6.5" x 8.25".  Then I scored at 3.25" on the short side, and burnished well.   I used a 3" x 8" stitched slimline rectangle die to die-cut one of the sheets in the Bauhause 8" x 8" Collection from Stamperia, which you can find at Frantic Stamper  (at the time this blog was posted).  I wanted a masculine background paper, and this one sheet was perfect with the different fonts...
