Hello everyone. I made another card for the Spring|Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, which is still going strong but ends tomorrow.
Actually, I made a few coffee cards but I posted them over on my Instagram account. If you would like to see them follow me there, just click HERE.
For today's card, I am using two digi stamp sets, Stay Strong and Sweetness, and some a digital paper pad called Blue & Pink Watercolored, all from Gracielle Design. I liked the flowers from one set and the coffee to go cup from the other and decided to make a new image.
I started with a top folding A2 card base of white cardstock on which I adhered one of the design pages from the paper pad. Sadly, you won't see much of the paper but I liked it behind the main image.

For today's card, I am using two digi stamp sets, Stay Strong and Sweetness, and some a digital paper pad called Blue & Pink Watercolored, all from Gracielle Design. I liked the flowers from one set and the coffee to go cup from the other and decided to make a new image.
Next, I printed the two digital images, 4 times on a sheet of A4 white cardstock. The Heart Frappuccino image from Stay Strong, which I printed at 105%, and the Ice Cream Bouquet from Sweetness, which I printed at 90%.
Then, using a stitched rectangle die that measures 4" x 5.25", I cute one of the Ice Cream Bouquets.
I also fussy cut one of the cups from the Heart Frappuccino image. I also ran a black marker around the image to cover any white cardstock showing.
Next is the tricky part. Using an x-acto knife and a pair of fine tip scissors, I cut the section between the ice cream cone and the flowers. The idea is that the cup will slide under so the flowers will be coming out of the cup. Not that there is anything wrong with the cone but I wanted the flowers sitting in the "to go" cup.
When I had enough room, I slid the cup from behind the flowers until I got it positioned where I wanted it and then I adhered it down.
Now...I had photos for the next few steps but the files did not transfer over correctly and I was not able to use them. But the rest is easy to follow.
I colored in the flowers and the cup with my BIC markers. I printed out the sentiment I wanted and die cut it using a fishtail die. I adhered it with pop dots and then cut the heart from another image and adhered that over the heart in the cup.
The final thing was to apply some stickles, lightly, over the image and allow them to dry. I also added 3 round pink sequins to the card front.
And here is the final card again.
It was fun to mix and match the two set and I really love how the new image looks. Hmmm, I wonder if Gracielle will like it too. LOL I'd love to know what you think so please leave me a comment below if you would like.
As always, until next time, hugs from Brasil!
Michael
