Hello everyone and Happy Tuesday? This post was supposed to go live yesterday but the day got away from me. For Day 5 of the Spring | Summer 2018 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop I wanted to share these simple "coffee-themed" Warhol(ish) note cards that I made for someone in town that owns a small cafe. She told me she wanted 4 small note cards, with a coffee theme, and a simple motivational type of message on each card. And she wanted them in English.
And this is what I came up with.
I started with 4" square cards as my base. Using this Coffee and Donut digital paper, I printed 4 designs and adhered one design to each card front. I cut 4 pieces of white cardstock using my Stitched Squares set by Gina Marie Designs. On each of the pieces I stamped the coffee cup from Coffee 1 by Anthony's Paper Craft in different distress ink colors - Peacock Feathers, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, and Ground Espresso. I tried my best to match the paper design to each distress ink color.
I adhered each of the coffee cups to a piece of mirrored cardstock, as close to their color as possible. Then I adhered that to the card front with foam tape- to give them some height.
The final task was to find motivational phrases - which I found using Tim Holtz's Small Talk Stickers from his idea-ology line! My friend came over and we picked out 4 that I adhered to the card fronts. Two were on the mirrored cardstock and the other two went right on the card front! Done!!
I really love how these came out. The cups in the different colors on the bright papers....perfect!! I'd love to know what you think. Please leave me a comment below. Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog and, until next time -
