SIP Flower Challenge #93 With The Ton and Altenew

Hello everyone and Happy Sunday!!  I cannot believe that we are into the Fall season here and it's been about 90 degrees every day.  And humid!  I am looking forward to some cooler weather soon.  This week seems to be all about flowers. Although we try with our limited free time available our "garden" had become one big mess and was looking more like a forest.  So we called our friend Marcia who owns a nursery to help.  She ripped 90% of it out and we are restarting.  I am loving how this is a new and cleaned up area.  Let's see what happens down the road.  LOL

My favorite area.  Marcia wanted to toss this tree stump
but I wanted to keep it and I cannot wait to get some
flowers into these pots.
Continuing with the flower theme this week is the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #93, which is all about flowers -

I recently got may hands on the Lone Poppy stamp from The Ton and decided to use it for this challenge.  Because of the different layers of colors I decided to team the image up with some inks from Altenew.

I started with a top folding A2 card base of white cardstock.  Then, using the large stitched rectangle die from Bundle of Stitched Shapes (Simon Says Stamp), I cut another piece of white cardstock and stamped the vase, the phrase, and the poppy stamp twice with Jet Black Archival Ink (Ranger).  Then I colored in the stems with a green marker by Bic.

Next I stamped the back poppy with the 3 different layers of ink.  For the first layer I used Warm Sunshine (from the Summer Afternoon set), then Lavender Fields, and lastly, Midnight Violet (from the Shades of Purple set).

Next I stamped the poppy image again but on a piece of scrap paper.  Then I colored with 3 layers of colors - this time I used Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, and then Crimson.  Then I cut the poppy out, placed some pop dots behind it and layered it over the first stamped image.  I also colored in the vase with broken china distress ink (Ranger) and a water brush.

Lastly, I applied a bit of Crystal Stickles to the poppy images to give a bit of shine.  I like Crystal because when you apply it over a dye ink parts of it turn gold and give a nice shimmer.

And that's it.  Done!  This is a really clean and simple card to make and it's a very classy looking.  Here is the final card -

I hope you enjoyed this card!  Until next time -

Hugs from Brasil -
