Quick Butterfly Card with Anthony's Paper Craft

Hello everyone.  I feel terrible as I have done it again - disappeared from the blog.  I seem to post more to my Instagram and Facebook pages than I do to my blog but I will try to work on that.

Today I have a quick card that I made using two images from Anthony's Paper Craft.  A butterfly background stamp called "Butterflies 1", which has 11 beautiful butterflies on it and a sentiment called "Thinking of You".  I love Butterflies 1 a lot because you can use the whole image as a background image or just use some of the butterflies, as I did with this card.

I started with my A2 card base of white cardstock to which I adhered a piece of decorative paper from an old paper pad from Recollections called Valentine.  (I am trying to use up all my older papers).

I cut a strip of white cardstock, 2" x 5.5" and, using my Misti and Jet Black Amalgam ink from Gina K Designs, I stamped the Thinking of You sentiment.

Next, I adhered the strip of white cardstock with the sentiment to a piece of black cardstock, 2.25" x 5.5".

Then I adhered a piece of black fun foam, also 2.25" x 5.5", to the back.

And, then I adhered this to the card front, a bit off center.

Next up....the butterflies.....

I stamped Butterflies 1 on to a piece of white cardstock with the Jet Black Amalgam ink by Gina K. Designs -

colored in a few of them using my Ultra Fine Tip BIC Markers (Lime Sorbet, Oceanview Blue, Yellow Blaze, Summer Melon, and Polynesian Purple)

then fussy cut 3 of them to use on the card.  (I decided not to use the big orange one.)  I also ran my clear Wink of Stella Brush pen over each of them to give them a shimmer.

Then I adhered each of the butterflies to the card front.

And, lastly, I added some Firefly, Ice Blue, and Yellow Stickles (Ranger) to each of the butterflies.

That's it.  What's nice is that you can stamp the butterflies, color them, cut them and you will have enough to make at least 3 to 4 cards.  If you would like, you can leave me a comment below.  Let me know what you think of the card.  Until next time -

Hugs from Brasil -

Michael

  1. Love this pretty card, Michael. The colorful butterflies really add a pop to your center strip design. Great coloring. Enjoy your day!
