Hello everyone!!! My friend Debra is part of the design team for the If You Give A Crafter A Cookie Challenge Blog. I like to take part whenever I can and I made today's card for their current Cookie Challenge #98 for which we had this inspiration photo to inspire us -
I decided to first go and check out the sponsor for this challenge, All Dressed Up, which is an Etsy store with the cutest digi stamps. I ended up buying a few, including Kiss For Valentines, which I used on today's card.
I started by printing two of the Kiss For Valentines digi images on a piece of A4 sized cardstock and then I grabbed my BIC Markers (both fine tip and ultra fine tip).
I took one of the images and cut the main focal point with a 3.5" circle die. I then colored in the image with the BIC Markers.
Next, the paper. I went thru my stash and found a paper pad called Beautiful Moments from Carta Bella. I pulled out two of the designs - one for the card front and the other to use with the matching scallop die.
I made my card base 4.5" x 4.5", adhered one of the papers to the card front, then I adhered the scallop paper, then I adhered the image (with a piece of fun foam behind it).
I took the other image and fussy cut some of the flowers and the leaves and colored them in again with the BIC Markers.
Then I put some pop dots behind each of them and adhered them to the card front, along with a fun sentiment from Tim Holtz's Quote Chips and a crystal in the center of the largest flower. Oh, I also ran some of the Clear Wink of Stella Brush marker over the flowers to give some shimmer.
Done!!
I love how this card came out and I loved using the focal part of the image instead of using the whole image. I hope you love it too!! I'd love it if you could stop by Debra's blog too and show her some love - {HERE} - and also over at the cookie challenge itself - {HERE}.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today and, until next time -
Hugs from Brasil!
