Welcome to the June 2024 Edition of The Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas. I'm playing along with the other Crafty Elves again this month - Debra from Meticulosity and Lisa from Life of a BZScrapper. On the 25th of each month, we have a Christmas card collab together, where each of us shares at least 1-holiday card idea in the hopes that we inspire you to begin making your holiday cards.
To make this card I used Whimsical Winter and one of the sentiments from Christmas Lights, Set of 4 - both from Technique Junkies.
- I made a top-folding A2 card using red cardstock. Then I die-cut two pieces of white cardstock using a stitched rectangle die measuring 4" x 5.25" and adhered one to the inside.
- With the other, I stamped the bottom part of Whimsical Winter using Versamark ink, stamped it on my card front, and heat embossed it with a red embossing powder.
- Using my homemade cloud stencil, Blue Ribbon Dye Ink from Ranger, and an ink blending brush, I added the clouds to the upper part of my card.
- Using Lily Pad Dye Ink from Ranger, I stamped the trees from Whimsical Winter over the clouds.
- I adhered a piece of fun foam to the back and adhered it to my card front.
- I had some Christmas puffy stickers in my stash that I had picked up at Hobby Lobby a few years ago. I removed one of the car stickers and a trailer, brushed cornstarch on the back to remove the sticky backing (you can also use powder or an embossing buddy), and adhered them to the card front using foam squares.
- Lastly, I stamped one of the sentiments from Christmas Lights, Set of 4 on white cardstock, die-cut it using a banner die, layered it on a piece of red, and adhered it to the top of the card. Then I added some white stickle glue to look like snowflakes.
I hope you have enjoyed this card and I really hope you will find time to visit the other Crafty Elves and see what they made. All of our social media links are below.
