Happy Pork of July | Woodblock Wednesday Card | Hambo Stamps

  Hello everyone, and welcome to another Woodblock Wednesday -  the day of the week we set aside to give some love to woodblock stamps that we have not used in some time.     I am joining my friend Amy, who posts a Woodblock Wednesday card to her  blog  on the last Wednesday of each month.  Check out her blog post... HERE ...to see her card and the giveaway she has if you enter a card of your own.  This will be a short post to share a card that I have been wanting to make for years.  Today's card uses 2 woodblock stamps from Hambo Stamps, which sadly closed in 2014.  Neither stamp has a name but one is a pig in a hammock, and the other is the sentiment "Happy "Pork" of July" - both circa 2009.   Now, between you and me, I am not happy with the card because I used a piece of blue cardstock as my base and the markers I used came out much darker than I wanted.  I will be making this card again soon using white cardstock ...

  Hello everyone, and welcome to the June 2025 Edition of the Crafty Elves Countdown to Christmas with  Deb  and  Lisa .  Can you believe that half the year is gone already?  If you are new here, on the 25th of each month, we (the Crafty Elves) post one or more holiday cards in hopes that we inspire you to start  making your own so that, come November, we have cards ready to mail.   For my card this month, I used one of the stamps from the Along the Same Lines set from Stampin Up.  This is a set from 2005 and has 4 tall stamps.  One of them is a stamp of 3 tall Christmas trees and, before I list it on my Brasilian destash page, I wanted to make a card using it.   I made a top-folding A2 card using white cardstock to which I adhered a piece of textured red cardstock.   Using a 4" x 5.25" stitched rectangle die, I die-cut a piece of white cardstock, stamped the Christmas trees stamp 3 times using a stamp positioner, an...
