Happy Valentine's Day with Unity Stamps

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!  Ugh...it's been almost 2 weeks since my last post.  I have been coloring daily but have not been blogging.  To be honest, I get a bit depressed at times and the last few days it kicked in.  The coloring helps!  I am feeling a bit better today and wanted to make a card for my American friends celebrating today.

In Brasil we have a sort of Valentine's Day but it is not celebrated until June and does not really have the same meaning as in the states.

To make today's card, which is another 4" x 4" note card, start with a top folding card base of red textured cardstock, 4" x 8", scored at 4".  Then cut a piece of sparkly black cardstock (or plain) and a piece of black fun foam both at 3 5/8" x 3 5/8".  Adhere the fun foam to the back of the black cardstock and then adhere this to the card front.

Then cut a piece of white cardstock - 3.5" x 3.5" - and stamp the image from the Heart Strings set by Unity Stamp Co. with Versamark and emboss with Black Sparkle embossing powder by Ranger. After this stamp the phrase from the same set under the string of hearts.  Color in the hearts with various red and pink Copic markers.  Apply some Glossy Accents on each of the hearts to give it a raised and shiny look and dust with some Champagne Glass Glitter by Stampendous.  The glitter will dry with the Glossy Accents and give a nice glimmer to the card.

Allow to dry and adhere to the card front.  Done!!

I hope you enjoyed this quick little note card.  The card tugs at my {heart} strings as much as you do! Happy Valentine's Day again....until next time -

Hugs from Brasil -

Michael
