Freshly Made Sketches Challenge 225 with Technique Junkies

Hello everyone.  Hope everyone has fun plans for the weekend.  We have a class next weekend in the store so I will be sticking around here getting things ready and cleaning up.  Today's card is for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge No. 225.  I've had this image sitting around begging to be used and today was it's day!    Here is the sketch that was the inspiration for this card -

I started with a 5" x 7" white cardstock base, side folding.  Because this card is meant to be included with a wedding gift, or check, I went with a larger card size.  To the front I adhered a piece of metallic silver cardstock.  Then I checked through my stash of papers and found this beautiful paper called Diamond from SEI's White Elegance Collection and I cut a piece 3" x 6.5".  I adhered this to a piece of black cardstock, giving only a slight border, and adhered this to the card front on the right side.

Then I grabbed the Happily Ever After image by Technique Junkies and my Misti stamping tool.  Because this is a solid image and I knew I would have to stamp it a few times, the Misti comes in perfect.  (You could also use a stamp positioner).  So I placed a piece of white cardstock in the Misti, the image on the other side, inked this baby up with Onyx Black Versafine ink and stamped it several times.

When it was fully dry, I trimmed the image to 2.5" x 3.5", adhered a piece of white fun foam under the image, then a piece of black cardstock, again leaving a slight border.  Then I adhered the whole thing to the card front.  It was missing something.....so I found a crystal heart that I glued above the couple and found a light pink/white flower on a heart pin, that I slipped onto the side.

Here is a close up of the image with the flower -

Done!  I think this card is a very clean, simple, classy and elegant card for a wedding!  I hope you do too.   I hope you can make some time to make a card for the Freshly Made Sketch challenge too!!  Until next time -

Hugs from Brasil -
Michael
