Quick Snowflake Cards with Reverse Confetti

Hello everyone.  Well....it rained all night.  Sigh. And, as I expected, the sun came out strong and bright today - because the pool is closed on Mondays.  LOL. I cannot win.  I cannot believe that just one year ago  we were praying for rain because there was such a horrible water shortage going on here in Sao Paulo.  Well...more rain means more creativity!!

This past weekend I pulled out some Reverse Confetti goodies - Let It Snow Confetti Cuts and Shine Bright - and made two quick snowflake cards.  You can make each of these cards in less than 10 minutes (or less).  Seriously.  I also think that these are great to use as a general "holiday" card or just to say hello to someone.

The first card I made was this  -

I started with a top folding A2 white cardstock card base (5.5" x 8.5", scored at 4.25").  To this I adhered a piece of blue glitter cardstock.  Then I cut a piece of white cardstock at 4" x 5.25", placed the largest of the snowflake dies (from the Let It Snow Confetti Cuts) in the upper left area and ran it through my Big Shot.  Then I stamped "hello" from the Shine Bright stamp set with Hero Arts' Pool to Navy Ombré ink pad. Adhered this piece to the blue glitter card front, adhered a crystal in the center of the snowflake and some blue sequins around the front.  Done!

I loved this card but felt there was something missing.  So I sent it to my BFF (Sue M.) to get her opinion.  She suggested a few more flakes.  Good idea Sue!!

So...the 2nd card I made was this one -

I made the same card size and used the same glitter paper.  But before I die cut the flakes, I placed them face down on my cardstock, with the phrase, and played around with them until I liked the layout. Then I secured the dies with some tape, removed the phrase, and ran it through my Big Shot.

Then I stamped the phrase with the Pool to Navy Ombré ink pad from Hero Arts and adhered it to the card front.  Then I adhered a crystal in the center of each snowflake, adhered some small blue sequins around the card front and, finally, traced over the phrase with a Clear Wink of Stella brush pen to give it some shimmer.  Done!

I hope you enjoyed this post and that you will be making some "cool" snowflake cards. Tell me if you were able to make the card in under 10 minutes. LOL.  Until next time...

-Hugs from Brasil!
